Looking Back at DISTRICT RALLIES 2017!
District 1: Lambert High School
On October 21st, 132 heroes from all over District 1 gathered at Lambert’s Superhero themed District Rally. These heroes represented up to ten different schools (even colleges!): Lambert, Alpharetta, South Forsyth, North Forsyth, Meadowcreek, Greater Atlanta Christian School, Berkmar, Wake Forest, and Mount Vernon! Right from the beginning, attendees were invited to an exciting icebreaker. After the majority of delegates had checked in, everyone was introduced to the leaders: Mr./Mrs. Incredible, Batman/Batwoman, Superman/Supergirl, Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver, and Captain America/Black Widow. The action-packed day consisted of 2 eye-opening workshops, 5 idea-sharing swap shop topics, and an exhilarating relay at the end. Students got the opportunity to hone their leadership skills, bond with students from other schools, and have tons of fun. The attendees truly did find their INNER HERO!
District 2: Central Gwinnett High School
District 2's Rally was held on November 4th, 10-2 p.m.
As District 2 went through a Day in Disney, the Magic Kingdom showed them the true meaning of collaborative and servant leadership.
District 3: Aquinas High School
On November 4th, District three’s rally was held at Aquinas High School. They had about 20 kids show up from two separate schools- Thompson Mcduffie Middle School and Freedom Park Middle School. Overall, the rally was incredible and a remarkable experience for the younger students to get to learn more and more about how to be a successful leader in our community. They would like to thank Beckett Smith for the keynote speech and for sharing with the kids about how to come together as one Big GASC CommUNITY. They also had two workshops, one led by Trinity Johnson on Leadership Speaks to Me and another workshop on The Mighty Mission Statement by Elise Polo and Ashleigh Henning. Finally, they all came back together to do our state service project where they gave each student the opportunity to design the Mickey Mouse hat and voted on the best one. During this time, everyone else wrote a letter to our veterans over seas. They would like to thank everyone who attended and they hope to see our GASC CommUNITY grow together in the future!
District 4: H.V. Jenkins High School
November 18th, 1-6 p.m.

District 5: Houston County High School
District 5 Rally was held on October 21st, 2017 from 11am-3pm at Houston County High School! We had 40+ student council members attend. Overall, the rally was a great success from the keynote speaker and workshops to the state service project! We would like to thank Mike Giles, our keynote speaker, for inspiring us to always lead others in the right direction. After listening to Mr. Giles, our attendees participated in workshops varying from public speaking and teamwork building to random acts of kindness and community service! Finally, all the participants regrouped to end the rally with our state service project! This year we decided to create autograph books to donate to Bert’s Big Adventure, which turned out phenomenal! We would like to thank all of our attendees for making the pathway to leadership an incredible experience! We hope to see you at state convention! :)
