DISTRICT 3
DISTRICT RALLY 2017
On November 4th, District three’s rally was held at Aquinas High School. They had about 20 kids show up from two separate schools- Thompson Mcduffie Middle School and Freedom Park Middle School. Overall, the rally was incredible and a remarkable experience for the younger students to get to learn more and more about how to be a successful leader in our community. They would like to thank Beckett Smith for the keynote speech and for sharing with the kids about how to come together as one Big GASC CommUNITY. They also had two workshops, one led by Trinity Johnson on Leadership Speaks to Me and another workshop on The Mighty Mission Statement by Elise Polo and Ashleigh Henning. Finally, they all came back together to do our state service project where they gave each student the opportunity to design the Mickey Mouse hat and voted on the best one. During this time, everyone else wrote a letter to our veterans over seas. They would like to thank everyone who attended and they hope to see our GASC CommUNITY grow together in the future!
LOOKING BACK AT DISTRICT RALLY 2016
The district 3 rally took place on November 5th at Glenn Hills Middle School in Augusta, GA. Thank you GHMS for hosting. Our theme was "Passport to Leadership." We had a blast as the STUCO members traveled from one inspiring workshop to another getting their passports stamped at each location along the way. Keynote speakers were CSM Bryant of the Ft. Gordon Garrison and Mrs. Christine O'Meara from the GA Cancer Center. We had eight schools in attendance: Glenn Hills Middle, GA Military Prep, John Hancock, Tobacco Road, Hephzibah Middle, Monte Sano, Hornsby, and Freedom Park (District 3 Representative School).
